Managing stress and building mindful relaxation into your working life:
Did you know that 13 million working days are lost each year due to stress? The average person in Britain takes 81 days to recover from stress before being able to return to work. (www.hrreview.co.uk) This course will explore common signs, symptoms and responses to stress and it will also teach participants quick, mindful stress reduction techniques that they can build into their working day to reduce stress.
Effective communication at work:
Are you someone who always knows what they would like to have said after the event?! Would you like to know how to handle criticism effectively? This course will provide you with the skills to give and receive criticism well, say no assertively when required and skilfully ask for what you want. It will also explore what can hold us back from communicating well, providing you with the increased awareness for lasting change.
Understanding and managing young people’s anger:
Do you work with young people who lose their tempers too quickly and too regularly? Do you find it hard to know how to work with anger in a healthy way? This course will explore why some young people get angrier than others and provide you with a range of strategies to support young people express their anger constructively, rather than through aggression.
Staff relaxation groups:
Do you work in a busy, demanding environment? Perhaps you manage staff, who work in a support or care role, constantly giving to others which ultimately leaves them feeling frazzled by the end of the week. Staff relaxation groups provide time out from the demands of work, brief but deep relaxation which can energise staff for the rest of their day and provide a unique team building experience, through the gentle yet powerful experience of relaxation. Previous relaxation groups have been facilitated for twenty-minute sessions, making them ideal for lunch breaks. This can enable several different groups, within an organisation, to be facilitated over a short period of time.
